Donations

Donations to the Cal Poly Amateur Radio Club

CPARC thrives through the generous support of our alumni and community members who provide both monetary and in-kind support to help keep the Emergency Communications Center and Club activities running smoothly! There are several ways that you can support the club and they are outlined as follows:

1. In-Kind Donations are tax-deductible and can be made at anytime. A Club Officer processes paperwork with the University which then sends the donor a tax information letter (if the equipment value is over $250). Valuation of goods can be through a Donor Letter, Appraisal, Itemized List, or Published Value. The form we fill out for the University can be found here: http://www.asi.calpoly.edu/form_policies/show/146

2. Financial Support via Cash or Check - Cash or Checks made out to Cal Poly Amateur Radio Club that are mailed or given to the Club are deposited by Club Officers directly to the club account and are credited 100% to the club account. This is the best method to ensure that all of your donation goes directly to the intended purpose. Checks can be mailed to "Cal Poly Amateur Radio Club, UU Epicenter Box #53, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407". The form we fill out for the University can be found here: http://www.asi.calpoly.edu/form_policies/show/144

3. Financial Support via Online Giving or Cal Poly Fund Phonathon or Mailers - Any donations made through the Cal Poly Giving Website (https://giving.calpoly.edu/) or prompted by the Phonathon or Mailers from the University are subject to a 15% processing fee. Please be aware of this deduction when you make your decision on how you would like to donate. Some information about these fees can be found under "Reinvestment" at the following link: https://giving.calpoly.edu/faq.html#reinvestment
