  - crime wave squished - please see Dave's report for further info
  - Board of Presidents Meeting
    * will meet Monday 21 November
    * meetings will be held once a quarter
    * redundant - meetings will cover info already reported by our rep.
    * Kirk will take position that meetings are unnecessary
  - Parents' Weekend
    * group will tour campus Sat 19 Nov, will stop by shack
      between 10:00 and 13:00
      
Vice President - Dean Wood  KC6IZR
  - Engineering Council
    * speaker asserted that there is "no excuse for not getting your classes"
      try to get the classes you need, talk to people in your dept; 
      failing this talk to him personally <sorry, i don't have his name> 
    * purchase of 4 $3000 computer systems for ASI was approved 
      + 486DX66 network, software, 17" monitor, total expenditure $16,000 <grr>
      + EC was basically told "this is how it is" by ASI board of directors
        get politically active, please, thank you
    * $1600 for time clock in UU
    * night time parking permits will be probably $18 a quarter, $24/q is also
      being considered.  permits will be valid after 17:00.  standard permits
      will still be valid at night.  will likely take affect next quarter.

  - still seeking duplexors
  - voted to spend $60 or less to buy new crystals to move 145.19 to 145.21
    + passed unanimously
  - 145.19 WALA machine down
  - appx. one month until new building will be ready for use
  
Shake Manager/Chief of Security - Detective Dave Evans  N6UEZ
  - read the Mustang Daily regarding BHZ's part in Public Safety apprehending
    a bad guy.  repeat offender burglar, in custody, was on probation.
  - strobe on tower on same circuit as bubble
  - tower needs more work, should take place next quarter
  - winter festivity lights: if it is going to happen, it must be now
    + motion passed 3 to 5 to allocate $100 to purchase lights
    
ARES - Ryan Woolley  KC6WOW   attended meeting
  - yearly elections
    + no term limits
    + majority of officers remain
  - earthquake drill in February
  - gopher server at slonet
