Sorry it took me so long.  Finals were a real &^%#$#@!, as I'm sure you 
all understand.  These are the minutes from the last meeting.  I also 
need to let the following PAID members know that I need their Social 
Security Number in order for them to check keys out of Public Safety:

I.  OLD BUSINESS
    -charter has been renewed
    -all officers have keys
    -Mark NEEEEEEEEDS Coke permit ***
   

II. OFFICERS' REPORTS
    -VICE PRESIDENT- Dean Wood
        -Engineering Council meeting rep.  (Wed. 5-6:30pm)
               -1st Annual Engineering Club Fair
                    -Tenaya Hall (Engr. Live & Learn Center)
                    -Wed. Oct. 19th, 4 pm-?
                   **MUST RSVP BY SUN. OCT 16th!**
               -Homecoming Float if anyone wants to help
               -Campus got a $40K grant from Health & Human Resources;
                got $55K grant for sand volleyball courts

     -SECRETARY'S REPORT-Trisha Ginsburg
          -Sending email of minutes (although a little late this time...
           sorry!) to all members
          -Need SSN's for Public Safety list (right now, there is NO
           list @ public safety, so go to Engr. Dept. Office for key
           check-out)
      
      -TREASURER'S REPORT: Craig Gullickson
           -We're broke!
           -$1100-1200 in the account 

      -COKE MANAGER's REPORT- Mark Smith
           -working on cutting coke cost (legally?)
           -Need an assistant becuase the workload is ENTIRELY too 
            much for one person

       -REPEATER MANAGER's REPORT-Ryan Matteson
            -fixed repeater from beeping every few seconds
            -Autopatch now working (was deactivated)
            -Full-time WALA functioning in a few weeks
            -Make SURE to ID before using Link
            -PLEASE monitor before jumping onto repeater

       -STATION MANAGER's REPORT-Dave Evans
            -Lock window before leaving shack
            -FCC 610 forms available in shack
            -burglar alarm system a possibility?  Necessity?
                 -possibly hardware & install for free
                 -$85 public safety monitoring fee
                 -insurance cheaper than alarm?
            -suggestion: 80 m

        -EEEC REPRESENTATIVE REPORT-Ian Wolcott
            -report forthcoming


III.  NEW BUSINESS
      -BHZ WORK DAY 
         -need to do LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of stuff
         -tri-tip BBQ as reward for HARD work
         -Saturday, Oct. 22 (9am)
         -show up, but pref. let kirk know beforehand

      -SAREX-Frank Wetzle
         -Shuttle Amateur Radio EXperience
         -3rd graders in Shell Beach given opportunity to communicate 
          w/shuttle
         -NEEDS a time commitment from Amateur Radio Club volunteers
         -Volunteers: Len Gibbs, Dan Malone

      -REPEATER MOVE
         -Aesbestosizing Admin. Bldg. (big plastic bag over room where 
          our radio stuff is)
         -repeater's location must be removed prior to end of FALL QRTR.
         -verbal guarantee that we'll be allowed into new radio room

       -OFFICERS
         -need to notify Mark if coke machine empty
         -NEED co-coke person
         -Mark will appoint the person...see him if interested
                   -benefits: keys to machine, shack, cash drawer

             -Recommendations for a group NET
             -sugg: Thurs. when no meeting, have a NET the Sun. before
                    (ARES NET)
