Smith I I. WELCOME/NEW MEMBERS/INTRODUCTIONS/FOOD -Waiting for latecomers to arrive (ie UEZ, JTS, OMS, etc) II. OFFICER's REPORTS A. KIRK, PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF 1. GENERATOR-off-frequency, voltage low after used by EE Dept. They are giving us $$ and use of 5KW generator to cover it 2. TASS WORK DAY-after finals, held last quarter for die-hards and SLO-bound; coming along well; snag w/insurance, liability (more later) 3. ARES BOARD MEETING-held the first Tuesday morning of each month; try to represent Poly at ARES meeting a. Kirk is posting a copy of the ARES training schedule for 1995 in the shack b. Regular meetings are the fourth Wed. of each month in the pm -Next regular meeting: January 25th 4. ARRL -Paperwork for club affiliation sent in -Anyone who joins later on, TELL THEM you belong to BHZ 5. DONATIONS -New UHF repeater, needs some work -New duplexers forthcoming (YEAH!) -LOTS OF GENEROUS $$ & EQUIPMENT FROM ALUM! 6. TASS/INSURANCE PROBLEMS -Steve Smith is looking into insurance, for safety of club members who are on Tass, in case of accident -Approx. $130/year to provide it -Through ASI; DOES NOT COVER NON-STUDENTS (looking into coverage for high school) **CHOICES: -Walk away from Tass -Pay this SMALL amount and continue with the project -Len Gibbs moved to pay the insurance, not to exceed $200/yr -Ian seconded -Unanimous passage (if only Congress moved this quick...) -Copy of policy will be available in shack 7.
