The College Amateur Radio Club Association holds a College Repeater net that may include any university located in the U.S. Each week a topic is chosen for participants to discuss and they can range from future club plans, current events, or really anything (they take topic ideas on their website too). The net is a good forum for learning how other clubs operate and for getting advice on any amateur radio projects.
If you would like to participate, the net meets over IRLP on Node 9449 at 6pm every Tuesday night and we use the W6FM repeater, 444.525 (positive offset) with a 127.3 PL tone, in order to connect. A net control operator from our club will be controlling the internet-link every week so tune to the W6FM repeater and be sure to hold your transmit button for 3 seconds before speaking since this is IRLP and not a standard repeater net. You may also connect via Echolink to the K9IU repeater at Node 500717.
