1999 Wildflower Triathlon
Camping Sub-Committee
The Camping Sub-Committee is charged with coordinating the camping area
at the Visitor's Center, and general logistics involving the communications
aspect of the Wildflower Triathlon.
The Camping Sub-Committee will take care of the following tasks before,
during and after the event:
- Copying and distribution of information packets, maps and vehicle signs.
- Providing an updated attendance list to the main-gate Rangers to facilitate
our access into the park.
- Ensuring that the sprinklers on the lawn are turned off for the weekend.
- Rick and John know location of valves.
- Coordinating with Parks maintanence personnel to turn down the public
address radio system at the maintanence yard at night so we can sleep.
- Coordinate lighting and electricity for camp site.
- Halogen lamp and stand from shack to ride in vehicle scheduled to
arrive early. Also, N6TQL is bringing an extra halogen and cord.
- Bulb and reflector to arrive in vehicle arriving early.
- All extension cords to arrive early Friday.
- Ensure that a BBQ and fuel is provided at the camping site.
- KK6DJ providing 1 BBQ and propane tank. N6NL to haul BBQ up in his
trailer.
- KE6SYA providing 1 propane tank.
- KQ6BX providing BBQ and fuel.
- Ensure that trash cans and recycle bins are provided at the camping site.
- Need 10-12 32 gallon plastic bags for trash, recycle etc.
- Two trash receptacles borrowed from mantanence yard Friday afternoon.
- Arrange at ends of camping areas with signs.
- Ensure that picnic tables are moved from behind the Visitors Center to
the camping site.
- Provide talk-in on the 444.075 repeater on Friday to assist Communications
Committee members with getting into the park.
- Making sure that the camping area is returned to its normal state at the
end of the weekend.
- Assign trash police Sunday morning and make sure job is complete.
- Dump trash and return barrels to yard.

These packets will also be printed and distributed by the Camping Sub-Committee
on Friday, April 30th at the campsite, at which time we will help you with putting
the signs on your vehicle.
